A Trio of Thank Yous

Good Wednesday morning friends.
It is still grey and rainy here, but a little rumple ribbon from Lovebug Creations is the perfect pick-me-up!!
Today I have 3 thank you cards to share. Two weeks ago was my birthday & I was lucky enough to be spoiled by friends & family with some sweet gifts & treats. I am working on getting thank you cards to all of them! Here are the first three:

On my first card I used Fool's Gold rumple ribbon from the "Lucky You...Lucky Me" collection.
This color is so vivid & striking! Just the right touch to this dainty card. The sentiment stickers are from American Crafts.

For my second card I used the beautiful I Love Grunge rumple ribbon.
This multi-colored ribbon is a statement in itself! And it matches my paper perfectly!!
The sentiment here is also from American Crafts.

On my third & final card for today, I used Purple-Dise from the "Bahama Mama" collection.
I think I have said before that I am not a purple fan, but this ribbon has changed my mind! I love the color here. The sentiment sticker on this card is from My Mind's Eye.

So there you  have the beginnings of many "thank yous" to come!
Be sure to pop over to the Lovebug Creations' blog for more inspiration from the creative team!

Make it a scrappy day, y'all!

Watching the Fireworks

Hey friends!
Hope you all are well & having a good week. It has been a wet one here with more rain & storms forecasted for tomorrow! That means no baseball practice, & one little boy is not very happy. I am ready for the kids to be able to get outside & play-they are eating us out of house & home!!

Here is my latest layout created with Crate Paper's StyleBoard collection:

I created it for this month's challenge over at Kraft It Up
"BITS and PIECES -
This month your challenge is to create a layout using Kraft and at least 5 of the following six items...Layers, Sequins, Mists/Paints/Gelato's, Tearing or Disressing, Stamping, Arrows or Triangles"
I mean, how could I not-the challenge name is part of my blog name!!!

I stamped with my fave bubble wrap stamp, then sprinkled some blue mist around the page. Lots of lovely layers from StyleBoard  & some distressing at the edges of the papers. The sequins & arrows are obvious!

Thanks for letting me share with you tonight.
Hope you are staying dry!

Inspired By

Hey y'all & happy Friday!
We had a good day here, in spite of the now heavy downpour of rain we are getting that caused the school carnival to be postponed. But at least it will wash away all the nasty pollen!
I chaperoned Ty's class field trip to a local farm/museum & we had a great time. We got to pet a baby lamb & see some fun animals & learn cool things about them.

I had my once-a-month scrap club Monday night & we re-created this beautiful page by Stacy Cohen:

Here is my lift:
I just love this page! The butterflies seem magical to me how they float to the edge of the page.

The tag pulls out from behind the photos to reveal my journaling.
I have used a mix of embellies from my stash, some from Crate Paper, American Crafts, Jillibean Soup. The butterflies were punched with my Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for dropping by. I am off to take care of Leah who does not feel well tonight.
Stay healthy!

Oh Happy Day

Hey y'all! Hope your day is starting out as a happy one. Mine would be if I could get rid of these allergies!!
UGH! They are bad this year. We are all popping Claritin & hoping for rain around here!
But I won't complain too much because the dreaded winter is behind us & I love Spring!
That leads me into today's Lovebug Creations' project. I made this simple card using Mama's Mesh in white and the gorgeous "Purple-Dise" rumple ribbon from the On the Edge collection.
I just love the white ribbon with a touch of purple on the edge. It is so fresh and pleasing to the eye. And the mesh gives it some added texture, which this card needed because of it's simplicity.
The tag and "springtime" paper are from We R Memory Keepers.
Be sure to check out all the fabulous products in the store and head over the Lovebug blog to see more inspiration from the wonderful ladies on the creative team!!

Stay scrappy!

PL with SOUS

Hey y'all & happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter (if you celebrate). Ours was great! We hosted the family dinner here this year. The weather was beautiful & we all had a nice time. I will say though that I am glad it's over! It's a lot of work & now that it's done, I can relax & enjoy doing what I want, instead of what I need to do!

I created the following layout for Stuck On U Sketches' current PL challenge, which is to use a stamp.
I used one of my favorite stamps, the bubble wrap stamp at the top of my page. I also used the banner stamp on the side of my "family" card.
All cards, along with the egg stickers, are from We R Memory Keepers. The wood veneers are from Studio Calico. This photo is of the kids & their cousins & friends getting ready for the egg hunt on Easter of 2010.
( I am just a little bit behind!)

If you get the chance to play along with this challenge (which we really hope you do), be sure to link up here . Every time you play along with one of the monthly challenges at SOUS, you will be entered to win a prize. This month's sponsor is

They have generously offered up a $30 gift certificate to the store!! Awesome!

Spring & Easter Theme Pack

Hey y'all!
I recently received this gorgeous Spring/Easter theme pack from The Memory Nest  to create with

This product pack is jam packed with papers and embellishments at an amazing value.   TMN is clearing out the old to bring in the new. If you have Easter pics to scrap or fun spring ones, this may be the deal for you!!! I am having a blast creating with this kit!!
Here are 2 layouts and a card that I have already made. (When Spring Break & Easter are behind us, I plan on creating a lot more!!)
Everything here is from We R Memory Keepers & is from the kit, with the exception of the alphas (Thickers) & the flair (Recollections). I love how easy it was to put this layout together!
Here are some detail shots:

And here is the second layout:

I am in love with this pink woodgrain paper from Jillibean soup! The rest of the papers & embellies here are from We R Memory Keepers. (The alphas are from my stash & are by Fancy Pants.)

Here is the card I made for Ty for Easter
It's simple enough for a 7 year old boy to appreciate!

Be sure to check out this, and more, deals at The Memory Nest

Have a great day y'all!

Lucky Me

Hey y'all! I hope everyone is having a good week.
My kids are off for Spring Break so we are doing a lot to stay busy! We've visited the batting cages & had lunch with friends, had a doctor's appt, gone out for fro-yo, & more is planned for later in the week. Ty can't wait to see the movie Bears on Friday!
We are also busy cleaning her house & sprucing up the yard for Easter dinner with the fam at our house. But in the midst of the busyness, I did find time to complete this layout:

See the blue ribbon at the top? That is from the newest Lovebug Creations' collection, "Gardens of Tara". The color is "Blue Bells".  I have also used four of the yummy Beautiful Blooms. These clay flowers are awesome to work with! And they come in a variety of colors and three sizes. Here I used White, Hugs, Crushed & Jaded.

The papers and other embellishments are from Crate paper's StyleBoard collection. The alphas I used are AC Thickers.

Thanks for stopping by y'all! Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Tag Featuring Lovebug Creations

Hey y'all!

I know I said earlier that this time of year was loaded with birthdays & celebrations, & I was not kidding! I love it, & just hope that you will enjoy me sharing all the cards & projects too!

Over the weekend we went to a friend's daughter's 2nd birthday. She was so sweet & precious. I remember the days when my kids were that small & innocent like they were just yesterday. But yet they also feel a world away. I see young parents & wonder how I ever got through. How in the world did I go grocery shopping with little ones?! As much as I may say I miss it, I am glad that part of life is behind me.

But alas, here is the tag that I made to adorn Quinn's birthday gift:

See that gorgeous ribbon on the top?! It's from the newest Lovebug Creations' collection-"Gardens of Tara". I used the phenomenal shade of Garden Green. These ribbons are so fresh & crisp. Just the perfect touch to every Spring project!
I also added a Beautiful Bloom in the center of my butterfly. The color is "Kisses".

I love the way this tag turned out. It is so dainty-just perfect for a sweet, little 2 year-old.
The tag and alpha stickers are from Crate Paper's StyleBoard collection; the doily is Martha Stewart; the "2" is from AC Thickers. I also used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
Be sure to check out the Lovebug Creations' Blog for more inspiration from the CT gals!

Thanks for stopping by!

Last MS Kit

Hey y'all!
Good Tuesday mornin' to ya!
I recently received my last kit from Memorable Seasons. My DT term is up. I was sent Crate Paper's StyleBoard to work with:

This collection is right up my alley! I always love CP's collections, &  this one is no exception! It is so fresh & crisp-perfect for all my Spring & Easter scrapping.
Here is the first layout I have completed:

The doily is one from a pack I bought at the grocery store! (I am always looking for scrappy supplies wherever I am!) The alphas here are AC Thickers.
I also have my last challenge up over on the forums at Memorable Seasons. I would love for you to check it out & play along here. It is a Spring recipe challenge:
-use at least 3 butterflies
-use flowers
-use ribbon
-give your project a Spring related title

I would love to see your creations if you play. Post a comment here with a link so I can view & comment on your layouts! I may have a fun goody bag to give away too if you share!

Have a wonderful day y'all!

PL with SOUS

Happy Monday y'all! They tend to come too quickly, but at least the weather here is nice now! We enjoyed lots of outdoor time this weekend. Leah had riding Friday afternoon and Ty had his first baseball game Saturday evening. I think Spring has finally sprung in full force. In fact, I noticed pollen on the car just the other day.

Mondays also mean new challenges at Stuck On U Sketches and today's is the latest PL challenge. It is to use a top note shape on your project

Here is my spread:

The top note card is from MAMBI ( so is the "love" card). I used a mix of PL cards here. The heart & typewriter are from Echo Park & the "details" & "happy day" are from Simple Stories. The "so very needed" card is from Scraptastic. I have always loved these silly pictures of Ty! he was 2 here & wanted me to put his hair up in little piggies all over!! Silly boy!

This month's sponsor over at SOUS is Scrapbook Circle!

They are offering a $30 gift certificate to the store, so be sure to create with us this month & link up. You can play along with as many monthly challenges as you'd like & the more you play, the more chances you  have at winning!!

Get scrappin"!

LBC Card

Hey y'all!
I hope Spring has arrived in your corner of the world. It is absolutely gorgeous here! In fact, today feels like we have skipped Spring & jumped right into Summer. It's supposed to get up to 78*!

Spring is a busy time for birthdays and celebrations-Mother's Day, graduation, Father's Day, just to name a few. So I will be busy card-making for awhile!
My daughter's BFF is turning 13 on Friday!! It's so hard to believe! We have known her since she was 2. Leah & her are as close as sisters! I made her this card to include with her gift:

I used the new "Spring Lilac" rumple ribbon. I love this color so very much (even though I am not a huge fan of purple)! It is so light & fresh looking. And my daughter's friend's favorite color is purple!!
I started with this pre-made card from American Crafts & added the "13" paper. The crown that is in the center of my ribbon is from my stash. I popped the sentiment on top of my ribbon.

Leah is going out to dinner with her friend on Friday night to a fondue restaurant. Both girls are very excited!!

I'll be back soon with more to share.
Keep scrappin'!
