Imaginisce Layouts

Happy Thursday y'all! And Happy Halloween!!!!
Today is going to be a fun, but very busy day! We are having our usual pizza dinner with family & friends before we head out to trick-or-treat. And today begins the week & a half long Book Fair at the kids' school.  A lot going on, but it is good!

I wanted to pop in real quick and share the latest layouts I made. These both use Imaginisce papers.
The first one is a camping layout. The photos are from when my kids camped out with their cousin in his backyard! They LOVED it!!

I did a 2-page layout!!I had so many pictures that I wanted to include so I felt it was warranted!
Page one

Page two

The tags are all from Elle's Studio & the chipboard hexagons are from Maya Road. I misted them with Glimmer Mist.

The alphas are AC Thickers in glitter foam.

I am entering this layout in the October challenge at Scrap the Girls.

The next layout is a Christmas one and the photo is from 2008!!

I used Imaginisce's "Colors of Christmas" collection for this page.

Isn't that hedgehog the cutest?!

The alphas are, again, AC Thickers. The stars are from Pink Paislee.

That's all for now! I hope you all have a great day & if you celebrate Halloween, may it be a fun one!
Stay scrappy!

A Winner

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday!
Hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing, beautiful Fall day.

I had Drew take Leah to riding today so that I could clean & decorate the house for Halloween! We always have all of my family & some friends come here to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood & we have pizza & salad before we head out. I do not have any decorations out & Leah just decorated the front yard last week! Where has my motivation gone? If you find it, please return it to me! I shudder to think how I will survive the holidays without it!!!

Anyway, as I was dusting in the den, I realized that I need to pick a winner from Mama Lovebug's birthday hop!! So I drew a number between 1 & 17 (there were 17 commenters):
and the winner is #12!

Congrats Dawn Carlyle!! Email your addy to me at dreweaken@comcast.net so I can send you your goodies.

I now must return to cleaning! Ugh!
Have a fabulous day  y'all!

LBC Share

Hey everyone & welcome to another Friday!!
These weeks are flying by at super-sonic speed & I have a feeling that before we know it, Christmas will be upon us! It is only 2 months from today!!! WHAT?!

But I digress, since Halloween is next week (& I still haven't decorated the house), I am trying to get in the spooky spirit! I altered a mason jar this week. I originally saw this idea on Pinterest using silk leaves, but since I had none available, I used feathers that I thought looked somewhat creepy & Halloweenish.
I used Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon in Halloween Grunge in orange and Edgy Halloween in black to tie around the mouth of the jar. This gives my project a unified and finished touch!

I added a tealight, and now have another home decor item that can transition from Halloween to Fall.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make it a great Friday!!

What's New

Hi friends!
It's Thursday & a chilly day here too! I love it!! I am ready for days with a nip in the air, drinking hot chocolate or hot tea and having yummy soup for lunch &/or dinner. Pulling out the sweaters & jeans, boots & thick socks! Cuddling up under soft, warm blamkets reading a good book or watching a fun movie-it's all fine by me!

Today I have a few layouts to share with you. The first one was created using Stuck?Sketches October 15 sketch:

And here is my layout:

I used a mix of Studio Calico papers & older scrap pieces from my stash. The alphas are AC Thickers & the banner under the photo is from Heidi Swapp. I misted it with red and blue Tattered Angels' mists. Both of the journaling cards that I placed under the photo mats are from Echo Park.

The next layout was created using the last bits & pieces from my Memorable Seasons October kit-Simple Stories' Smarty Pants:

All papers are Simple Stories; the alphas are from AC Thickers and the feathers are from Studio Calico. I also misted them with Tattered Angels' blue & green mists.
I didn't have any more "e's" in the pack of blue alphas, so I used a "9". I thought it looked like a young child who writes some of their letters backwards (like Ty used to)-so felt it was apporopriate on this layout!

I am also entering this layout in the challenge over at Scrap the Boys, which is to use blue & green. I will also enter this at Color Me Scrappy. Their challenge is to use feathers!
It's crazy to look at these 2 layouts together! On the first one Ty was not quite 2, and the second one he was getting ready to start Kindergarten!!! It really seems transient when I look at them side by side.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope y'all have a great night!
Stay scrappy,
~Stephanie

LBC Friday!

Yep, it's Friday again! And around here that means it's my day to share my Lovebug Creations' project with you all.
I again made a card, but today used the fabulous Mama's Mesh! This product is so unique & versatile. It lends a distinct texture to any creation.
I started with a pre-printed, thick cardstock for my base and added the brown mesh from the Hallo-Mesh collection. I love brown as it is neutral & can be used with so many color combos!
The "friends" card is from Simple Stories "Smarty Pants" collection. The wooden scalloped circle is from Studio Calico & the alphas here are older cork ones from Making Memories.

  Thanks for popping by friends!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Once Upon A Sketch

Hi everyone!
I want to share today the most recent layout I have created. It began with this sketch from Once Upon A Sketch:

And here is my layout:
I started by masking then misting with the gold/orange mist. All papers here are bits from my stash.
The journaling prompt from OUAS is "journey". My journaling is on the back of my page & is about the journey that we have been on with Leah & how I have loved watching & helping her grow as a person.

I have many embellishmens from many different manufacturers here! The feather is from October Afternoon; the bird/circle sticker in black & yellow is from Glitz; the paper flowers are from Teresa Colins.

I love these sketches & the push it gives me to journal on my pages! That is always the hardest thing for me. The prompt really helps get me started.

Thanks for stopping by today. See ya' soon!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
Today is the middle of the month, which means a new sketch is up on the Sketch N Scrap blog! It's a fun one this month designed by Kelly Holifield:

I love all the fun elements, although I did not do a Halloween page:

I have used quite a mix of products here! The chevron paper is from Crate Paper; the other papers are older ones from my stash. The "snapshots" frame is from MME; the feathers are from Studio Calico & I misted them with Mr. Huey's mist.

We hope you will find the chance to play along! The fabulous prize this month is offered from Stacia at ScrapStuffz . Be sure to link up back on the Sketch N Scrap blog for your chance at this wonderful gift:

Happy Birthday Christine!

Happy Sunday friends, and Happy Birthday to a special Lovebug Creations friend, Christine!!
The CT members have made her birthday cards & want to send many happy wishes her way! Here is the card I made:
I used scraps to make the background of the card. On the pink piece of paper, I used a Martha Stewart punch to create a pretty border. The butterflies are also punched with my Martha Stewart punch. The alphas are from AC Thickers. And of course, no card would be complete without a touch of gorgeous Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon! Here I used the beautiful "Panther Pink".

Christine, I hope you  have a fantastic day and year filled with much happiness!! Be sure to stop by her blog and send her good wishes, too!

Thanks for swinging by! Have a great day y'all!

Challenged

Hi friends & followers!
Today I want to share some current projects I have made for some challenge sites.
This card was made using my October kit from Memorable Seasons. It is Simple Stories' Smarty Pants collection.

This layout was also made using the same collection (it's not just for school projects!!):

I started with this sketch from Life.Paper.Scrapbook:

The cardstock is from Core"dinations (& was not a part of my MS kit). It is embossed with circles & I sanded the paper to look like snowballs.

The snowflakes are from K&CO & also came from my stash; the flag is from BG; the scalloped border from Glitz (also from my stash).

I have one more project that I previously shared but want to show again. It is the witch hat that I made.

Paper Issues is hosting a Halloween Hootenanny & I want to enter this in the contest. Check it out here!!!

Thanks for swingin' by today!
See y'all soon!

Finally Friday

Hi friends & happy Friday! I love these days. The weather (was) gettting cooler (a few days this week it was in the upper 80's); you can smell fall in the air; pumpkins are evereywhere! The only thing that makes me sad is that it is starting to get dark earlier. But hopefully that will help my one little monster get to bed earlier, too!!!

I have a Lovebug Creations project to share with you. I had been on a card-making roll for awhile, but got somewhat burned out. So I decided to try something different today. I took a paper bucket (the kind that come from arcades for kids to keep their tickets in), and covered it with patterned papers.
I added rumple ribbon in Beary Brown from the On the Edge collection.

The alphas are foam from Thickers. I punched the butterfly with my Martha Stewart punch & the bird with my Fiskars "flight" punch.
I thought this would look nice in my daughter's room to hold all of her "collectibles"! (That's a nice way of saying "junk"!)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a scrappy day!
