MME Sketch Challenge

Hey again friends! Two posts in one day-wow!! I want to share quickly my layout using this month's sketch at My Mind's Eye. Here is their sketch:

This is a mix of many different MME collections-from "Lush" to "Follow Your Heart" & even "Kraft FunDay". My kids & their cousins have a tradition of getting ice cream together on the first day of school. This was 2 years ago!

LBC Post

Hey y'all!
I am sharing today my latest creation using Lovebug Creations rumple ribbons.
My husband & I will celebrate 14 years of marriage next week, so I figured I should make him a card.

I used the "Olive You" ribbon from the "On the Edge" collection. LOVE it!! It is a tan color with the edges dyed green. So versatile & not too feminine for a man's card!  

The clock paper is from my stash & is ancient, so I can't remember who it is made by! The hotair balloon & butterfly are from K&Co; the green alphas are AC Thickers & the mini alphas are from Prima. I also used my new Glitz roller stamp for the first time!! Love it! I am excited to break out this baby on lots of upcoming projects!

All 4 Love-Go Red

Hey friends! Just a quick share of the latest layout I made.

I have been hoarding this piece of paper from Crate for the LONGEST time! It's from their Portrait collection & I fell in love with it as soon as I laid my eyes on it!

They also have a challenge going on on their blog to use red on your project. You can check it out here.
That's it for now. I am headed to bed as I don't feel the greatest. Ty was home from school yesterday with a bad cold & I'm wondering if I caught it from him. (We had a nice time together though!)

A Double Page

WHAT?! I haven't done a two-page layout in ages! But last week was my once-a-month scrap club & this is what we made.

This is also a great way to use up paper scraps. The strips of patterned paper are cut 2" wide.

These are photos of my daughter Leah & her best friend when they were 3 & 4 years old. Today they are 10 & 11. And still best friends! I love the moments of sweetness & innocence captured here.
The small phrases stickers are from Cosmo Cricket; the title & flower chipboard pieces are from Crate Paper; the pink pearls are from Zva Creative & the small doily is Martha Stewart.

Lovebug Creations March Holidays Blog Hop!

Welcome to the very first blog hop of the Creative Team of LoveBug Creations. Our theme for this two-day hop is March Holidays as March 2013 has both St. Patrick's Day and Easter as that month's biggie events, BUT there are others as well so get prepared to be amazed as to what's happening in March.  This hop will feature the newest LBC Rumple Ribbon Collection for spring with gorgeous splashes of color to inspire crafties no matter how you use ribbon or for what occasion.

Here is the Easter egg that I altered:

I had a lot of fun making this (I first saw this idea on Pintereest). I took a plastic egg & covered it in Modge Podge then starting applying punched circles. This is a great way to use up your paper scraps!!  I used the "Sunflower" rumple ribbon to top the egg. What a cute, simple decoration to welcome Spring!

LBC Sneak Peek Week!

Hey friends!!
Today I am sharing a project using Lovebug Creations rumple ribbon. They have new collections out for spring & you will love them as much as I do! This week each ct member is posting a new project on the blog using a new color for sneak peek week. I am going first!
I made a mini album to showcase some older photos of Leah that were taken by my fabulous photographer friend, Laura:

 I used the "Sunflower" rumple ribbon which will be available for purchase in the store on February 24. I love the versatility of the yellow. Here are a few shots of the inside of my album:

 I tied a bow of rumple ribbon on the negative space from the punched butterfly.

I used a small piece of ribbon to tie in the center of my button.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all had a wonderful day!! Ours was full of little treats & surprises!

We went out to dinner at McAllister's & received our meals free because service was very slow. So that was a nice surprise!

Inspired By....

this t-shirt that Ty has had since last summer. I loved it when I bought it for him & then one day thought I should use it as inspiration for a page. Well, I finally did just that!!
This is the shirt:

And here is my layout:

I started by misting my cardstock with an orange mist. The candelabra is fussycut from a sheet of My Mind's Eye Halloween paper. I cut some circles from a My Mind's Eye Kraft Fun Day banner & pop-dotted them around the page.

I had so much fun creating this layout! I loved taking an inspiration piece & creating from that. I will definitely be doing this again!

Bling It On!

Hey y'all! Just got home from the kids' teacher conferences & got great reports on both of them! Leah got all A's last 9 weeks-we are all so proud of her! Ty's teacher raved about how awesome he is doing, how smart he is & what a nice, polite, kind child he is. There is no better feeling in the world to me than to be told how great of a job you are doing as a parent. It makes all the hard times & the up-hill battles all worth while! And it the most important job I will ever have & one I do not take lightly. I think long & hard about how we are raising our children & the people we want them to turn out to be. (So far, so GOOD!)

In other news here, the new challenge is up at Southern Girls Challenges. This one is a fun one-we want to see BLING on your project! Here is the layout I made:

There is bling on the "Memories" title.

And aslo on the butterflies, flower centers & the doily.

I added Stickles to the chipboard balloon above.
